Laterrious Smith is an upcoming Louisiana R&B singer known as Taydagreat. He was born on December 8, 1990 in Shreveport, LA. He was raised in the small town of Coushatta by his grandparents.
Laterrious was born into a family that was talented in many areas of music. At the age of five, his grandfather introduced him to the world of music by teaching him how to sing. Around the age of seven, Laterrious led his first song with the youth choir. At that very moment, he found his love for singing.
A few years later, when he was twelve, Laterrious lost his father unexpectedly. On that very day, Laterrious lost his passion for singing, but his love for music itself did not fade. He continued on his music journey by being the drummer for his church under the guidance of his grandfather.
As time went on, Laterrious slowly started getting into singing gospel and little R&B. It was when he was in high school, that Laterrious and three of his friends got together and started an R&B group called 3D. Laterrious and his friends were just singing for fun, but did not realize how popular they were until they competed in their school talent show. After that day, Laterrious was recognized for his amazing talent by several people which landed him in his first studio session with his cousin. During this time, Laterrious was perfecting his craft and researching more about becoming an R&B artist.
In 2019, Laterrious joined forces with another local Louisiana artist known as Bigg Round and his Loyalty Ova Betrayal group. Laterrious and Bigg Round worked together to help fine tune his voice and create the right image for this upcoming star. It was in this group, that Taydagreat was born.
From that moment on, Taydagreat has premiered his voice and amazing talent on various stages such as the Moss Fest Tours in 2019 and 2021. Both times winning the hearts of thousands and meeting other rising stars.
